eReader for €9.90! Could this change the market forever?

How are they managing to sell this for such a low price? Looks good as well, being the thinnest & lightest eReader around. Are they using Amazon's policy of selling devices at a loss & recouping money through ebook sales?

Although you "must" have an Android or Apple smartphone in order to get books by the sound of it. So nowhere near as convenient as Kindle, esp with Whispersync.
There's a difference between a €9.90 product & a £69 product. 
Personally, I wouldn't mind paying extra for the Kindle. But I suspect this is where eReaders are heading towards. When it becomes this affordable, we might see the death of books.
