Earbugs
So far this week, three tunes have lodged themselves in my head and refuse to go away. Only one of them have I actually heard recently...
(in order of prevalence)
1. A-Team theme music (including the Corsham Junior Wind Band rendition circa 1992- they were very good at it, but it was their entire repertoire).
2. The intro to Enter Sandman by Metallica
3. Two or three lines of some Steps track, think it's called 5,6,7,8. (To clarify, I do not own anything by Steps, nor do I listen to their records online. I used to work in a pub that hosted twice-weekly karaoke nights, and it often featured as a silence-filler between singers. That's my excuse and I'm going to stick to it).
Now the Metallica I can deal with. The other two are beginning to grate now. My brain's bass response is terribly overblown with the Steps track, sounds more like dubstep, and the Corsham Junior Windband need to get rid of the accordionist. The main problem is skipping, and repeating the same passages over and over same passages over and over . Hopefully a firmware flash may solve this, but the procedure involves a proctologist and a loss of dignity...
Only Sandman plays through perfectly, with stunning clarity on occasion. Until I forget the lyrics, and start again.
Thinking about a lobotomy. Do any other forum members have experience of this? Maybe trepanning would help? I've heard it improves mid-range dynamics and timing, but it seems a little extreme just for a bit more PRAT.
So here is my question to the forum: Does speaker cable really make any difference?
Not at all relevant, but bacon makes a better sandwich than bicycle.
