No, it's arriving in UK next week, & will take another week to put the leather on. So should be with me in the 1st week of June.

Congratulations but, a manual Merc, are you mad sir.
It's for my OH and she absolutely hates automatic. She refused it even when I was getting it for free. I don't mind either, but prefer manual. Personal preference.
Congrats, least you chose fully informed but in the end many factors come into choosing a car.
I was surprised today a company had 10 x 2.2d Portfolio1262 plate with max 10k xenon nav leather for £30250 trade seemed expensive.
Im sure you had an enjoyable day and got to drive the Jag.
Im going through same process with my HiFi.

Yeah, like some posters pointed, the Mercs' manual gearboxes aren't the nicest to operate (they're not fast nor particularly smoth), but surely when you get a day-to-day basis taste of all other qualities of the Merc, you'll soon forget that...
Enjoy your new ride, all the best!
Nice one BB. You've plenty of time to graduate to the jag when you make consultant
This thread has made me analyse my own mortality, I really like jags and would kill for an automatic - just getting old I guess
Wise choice, though not so sure about the gear stick. Anyway, to make it relevant to this forum, Merc radios have pretty good sound quality, and their engines are sound-proofed enough to enjoy them.
I miss the ludicrous wafting old barge...
Thanks for this, I've been pondering my epitaph for some time, one less worry
I must add that compared to my 2008 Merc C class, the gearbox on the 2013 E class was a lot smoother and precise. I liked the gearbox on my C class as well. I also didn't like the positioning of the gearshift in the automatic (sticking out of the steering wheel).
Range Rover Evoque has exactly the same interiors as the XF. I know which to buy when I upgrade my Ford Fiesta in 1-2 years.
AndrewThe Jags sound system is a 480 watt 5.1 dolby digital B&W I think ,you can record 10 cd in lossless when I had a test drive I didn't realy give it a propper test but I am going to have a loan car over a weekend so I wll report back and let you know if the sound system is as good as the car
