Downloading the new Coldplay tune
Can someone please help,I`ve tried to download the new song off Coldplay.com and am having problems.I`ve got the e-mail,clicked on the link, and all that happens is I get asked for user name and password, but don`t know what this is,tried various things,my e-mail address and password etc.but it tells me I`m not authorised to access the page. Please tell me someone`s managed to do this,I`m a big Coldplay fan and I need this song. Thanks folks.
I've just tried it after reading this, and have downloaded it in mere seconds.
Went to coldplay.com, entered my email address and postcode, then went to my email address and clicked on the link and bingo - downloaded to desktop.
Hi just downloaded the track with no problems. Just submit your details to receive the email then click on the link then a download window should open up and thats it, click on download/save etc and you should get the song. Not sure why you are being asked for user names or passwords. Try again see what happens
I just tried it and have the same problem.
EDIT: I have the solution, just copy the link including the *47 at the end and paste it into internet explorer. When you click on the link in the e-mail it doesn't add the *47 at the end of the link as it should do.
Tried it myself and it seemed to work fine, but when I opened it I appear to have got a track from an early 1970s concept album. Strange...
As a diverting but preferable alternative, I have taken the back off my plasma television in order to replace a blown transformer with one from my old black and white television.
Not a fan of Mr Patrow then John? By the way, do you play Free Bird? It's my Dad's favourite song and I used to live in Norbury, so I know some of your venues (you are brave by the way!).
No, I think he's a nice guy, it's when he opens his mouth to sing I have an issue. I have bought all their albums (well no actually I got X&Y free when I worked for BMG, probably for sales figures purposes) because I feel like I ought to like them, but am strangely unmoved. Same for Radioheadzzzzzzzzz.
No, soz - SHA gets the ladies moving though
. With our new bassist we're trying some really different stuff - Alanis Morrissette, the Tubes, Journey, very early Queen.............
Trivia fact - IBIATCL was one of the first songs we tried, and we did it so surprisingly well (ie I actually managed to sing it) that we talked about me doing the whole Justin Hawkins white jumpsuit thing - I said "nah I'd have to get waxed down there" and my wife pipes up "hey - Waxed - that's a good name for a band". The rest is history. Yes, ladies and gentlemen - we are named after Justin Hawkins' pudenda.
I'm a huge Radiohead fan!!
I prefer SHA too (Forest Gump made it popular again!). Skynyrd are not really my sort of band but when you have good memories of loud Sunday mornings with Free Bird et al playing, they are wholly listenable.
Funny story about your band name. He (JH) wouldn't fit in a jumpsuit anymore either!
Heh. Wasn't terribly becoming when he could............
