Thank for your reply I consider my minidisc players by the way I am talking full size Sony separates not the tiny little portables to be excellent machines they sound fantastic and for editing your tracks there is nothing better.
Better than something like this? After all you only get 28 minutes of PCM on a standard minidisk.

Better than a PC?
I too loved my MDs. I had a full size Sony, a portable and an in~car, but they are yesterdays news and utterly pointless these days.

Th 90's? In all seriousness, I think eBay is your friend here. Not sure what else you can do.
I think Minidisk failed purely down to poor timing. The NetMD functionality came as a reaction to MP3, the ability to record uncompressed came as a reaction to solid state recording devices. If these functions came before or even at the same time as their counterparts Minidisk may have done better. Throw in to the mix the fact that CD-R disks decreased in price far quicker than Sony expected, and that blank CDs were far cheaper than Minidisks, is a recipe to get screwed.
I loved my minidisks, had three of them throughout my teens. At the time they were probably my most important possessions.
