Don't Panic! We have 2" of snow.

Panic buying, don't give you the grumps? Like the last heavy snow fall we had, my local supermarket is empty of everything apart from a few tins of soup.
I spoke with the manager and he said that one person last Thursday purchased beans, bread and potatoes and the bill for the 3 items was... £56.00. Crikey, this is good old Britain, and after 4 or 5 days the cold snap will be a distant memory. Gawd, it gives me the pip...[8o|]

Yeah, that's what they said last year, and we had snow on the ground for 3 months where I am ![]()

Last year's? Ooooh, get you and your lah-de-dah latest fashions, I'm wearing a ski coat I last wore 12 years ago (when I last went skiing)!
I have never been skiing. It holds absolutely no interest for me. Therefore I own no skiwear.

I sold all my skiwear on ebay a couple of years ago because i also had not been skiing for about 12 years too.
2"? Pah! I've got 6". No exaggeration or hyperbole. I went out to the garden, into the centre so no question of it being a drift. Stuck my tape measure into the gouind. 6" ornear as makes no difference.
We have 2' here in the frozen North East!
I kid you not. ![]()
Hi,
In Dunblane 8" is at the shallow bits lol.
A9 north gets closed here.
Haven't had a council wagon around to empty our bins but I've been up farm tracks to collect milk around here - in similar trucks.
No salt bins anywhere.
Temp is currently -11 outside -
any lower and I might have to put the heating on.
Cheers,
Cofnchtr.
It's so weird when you're in a part of the country with no snow (south coast) - reading all this just seems like you're making it up !![]()
a few inches here...
Well I reckon we must have at least 2 if not 3 flakes in our back garden...
(I'm really going to regret saying that when I wake up tomorrow morning...)

Bang goes my image of max's windswept coastal cottage, peat burning in a potbelly stove in the corner...

6"? Gravesend, Thames estuary? bet there's no panic buying there?
Stuck my finger in the snow a little while ago and it came up to my knuckle (3-4")
I can see the bleach from here.
