DIY pics please
Anyone wish to show us their diy efforts? Speakers, room treatments, racks etc?. Pics & descriptions compulsory! Cheers
Yes, more DIY pictures. Especially if it's home made speakers. My cabinet making skills are non-existent but I like to admire other people's efforts.
In process of overhauling (for the second time) my Mission 753s. I'll get the camera out at some point...!
I built my cabinet below:

Thanks Michael for the first. That looks a very nice cabinet. Room for a centre one day maybe?
It is behind the grill

I love DIY speakers and would love to build an amp if I could find a decent kit.
My speakers from Wilmslow Audio.

Wow!
Any 'work in progress' pics? They look superb.
As op I feel the need to comment but I will leave it to others! Nicely hidden centre channel. Love it! The speakers look great too. Build photos would be good and 'results'? Lovin' 'em tho please keep 'em comin'.
I was wrong with the £1000 but check out these KITS!! (prices rounded)
K8020 Valve Control Amplifier Kit. £325
K8040 High End MOSFET Power Amplifier Kit £275 X 2 I am pretty sure!= £550
Total £875
I have built kits since the 60's and would be confident building these but the price!
Anybody on any forum actually bought these kits and built them successfully?
If so what do they sound like?

My comment re £1000 being wrong related to a post I made which I subsequently altered one word went foe moderation and has dissappeared. I was replying to nthe guy who would like to make a decent amplifier kit and I was refering him to Quasar Electronics and their VELMAN kit range which culminates in a £700 to £800 set of kits for two power amps and one preamp. Why this had to be moderated and dissappeared I don't know!

My effort, a pair of small full-range monitors for the computer system.

The enclosures are a simple bass-reflex design made from Sainsbury's acacia placemats and finished with tung oil.
I've used Tang Band 3-inch bamboo cone drivers, model no.W3-1364SA.
Would love to build a pair of horns one day, alas currently don't have enough room.
