Daniel Day-Lewis makes Hollywood history
Must be worth a mention...
I don't normally have much interest in the Oscars, but the first three time best actor Oscar winner being a British actor seemed worth a post on a website dedicated to the consumption of music and films in the home.
Fitting that Day-Lewis got his Oscar from Meryl Streep (and made a good gag about that, too): both actors that inhabit their roles so totally, over a wide spectrum of characters.
i mean I love Christoph Waltz getting another Best Supoorting Actor gong- and he was compelling in both Tarantino roles- but he"s not exactly stretching it.
Still reeling that Adele won for 'Sky-foal' ....

I am sure others will disagree and that's fine. Having seen the BBC news it seems the awards are the only thing important. Awards? I think I have made a greater contribution to 'society' than all these great actors. I want no award! Dont forget those wonderful dresses. Complete waste of time imo. I enjoy films as much as the next but .... No controversy intended. Just opinion.
