Whats going on here, have folk gone crazy?
A local Tesco garage ordered to close as the streets were rammed with moterists after fuel?
Four garages passed on the way home and two had police getting order, one closed and the other only one pump open!
Needless to say i joined in, for the fun of it you understand, and filled up enev though i filled up yesterday and added some petrol cans to the bill, filled!
Lol, we dont even know there will be a strick and even if there is, we get a weeks notice, madness!

I liked the news interviews of the people queuing who were criticising everyone else for panic buying 
Yes, because no-one normally chooses a Thursday to fill-up. They were obviously all 'panic buyers'. Why else would they all be there?
Anyone going along to a garage on their normal day (or because their tank is low on fuel) is now going to be seen as a 'panic buyer' just because they are queueing at a forecourt.
Does not help motorists being advised by HM Gov. to fill their tanks up.
The situation now is feeding on itself because people are filling up because other people are and they are frightened they won't be able to get any when they really need it.
Stations by us are shutting because of no stocks.
The oil companies win again.

The police shutting the local Tesco's at 1pm due to the road being blocked was quite unreal. They shut the station at 12.30pm but still let the folks waiting buy fuel do so, I witnesed a very unhappy customer who wanted fuel only to be told there was none but in reality their was. You can imagine the scene because of the faux pas, the lady was quite stressed clutching her coffee and bun even though the forecourt was coned off.
The long queues & empty pumps affect people like me, who commutes 700 miles a week, & fills the tank every 3rd day. 
What's the duty on a litre of fuel these days 
A total shambles caused by a bunch of totally clueless politicians , Queued earlier today for 30mins to fill up at my local Tesco , Note really needed to fill up due to driving to Prestwick (From Edinburgh) Saturday.
Saving grace was it nice and warm so did'nt have to pay VAT on my steak bake!! LOL.

It's really a covert Government experiment, to see how much VAT might be raised on pasties that we might purchase, while queueing during an engineered fuel crisis. 
Had a scout round this evening, seems to be plenty round here, although Sainsburys at Crayford were out of unleaded, but I have two cars one diesel and the other LPG which shouldn't be affected by any strike as the deliveries are from an entirely different source eg Calor.
Seems to be plenty of diesel at the moment.
Ah. I've been trying to cram pasties into a jerrycan. I thought I must've missed something.

Very annoying. The strike wouldn't be until bank hol weekend anyway (do folks really not use a tank in 2 weeks?), and apparently it's highly unlikely anyway, due to talks taking place Mon and the TU needing to give a week's notice before their members strike.
Meanwhile, my drive home from work is disrupted..... (the important thing).
