Anyone else participated in this national study via the BBC website? (couldn't find anything in my search)

https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/labuk/experiments/risk/

If there was a risk test for audio/cinema enthusiasts, would the questions include....

1) How much would you risk spending, without auditioning, on a new piece of kit?

2) How much would you risk spending, without first telling wife, on a new piece of kit?

(on a scale of 0% very unlikely to 100% very likely)...

3) How likely are you to buy a new CD or download album, without sampling it first on itunes/spotify etc?

4) How likely are you to buy a new vinyl album, without sampling it first on itunes/spotify etc?

5) How likely are you to buy a new Blu-ray without having seen it at cinema first?

6) Would you let your kids use your turntable?

7) If you have/had young children, would you remove grilles from your speakers?

8 ) How likely would you be to take a trip to a hifi shop to see a piece of kit without first checking if they have it in stock/on demo?

The whole budget. If it's bad i'll take it back. (Though it's never happened yet.)

2) How much would you risk spending, without first telling wife, on a new piece of kit?

Not an issue after 30 years. (Never been an issue during the 30 years either.)

3) How likely are you to buy a new CD or download album, without sampling it first on itunes/spotify etc?

I only buy what I know I will like.

4) How likely are you to buy a new vinyl album, without sampling it first on itunes/spotify etc?

N/A

5) How likely are you to buy a new Blu-ray without having seen it at cinema first?

Very likely. I'm not old enough to have seen many of them in the cinema first.

6) Would you let your kids use your turntable?

I used to.

7) If you have/had young children, would you remove grilles from your speakers?

I have never removed grilles regardless of children.

8 ) How likely would you be to take a trip to a hifi shop to see a piece of kit without first checking if they have it in stock/on demo?

Very unlikely. I don't like hi-fi shops. Even good ones. (And thanks for calling them shops rather than 'dealers' or 'specialists'.)

I panicked at the sign-in screen and gave up.
