A friend in need is a PITA?

I have a friend I’ve known for nearly 20 years. She has a shall we say a tumultuous relationship with her partner, along with other issues, and to that end she always seems to turn to me whenever she feels her life needs ironing-out again.  But when all the flowers are rosey in her garden I don’t really hear from her from one week to the next.

One amp - two sets of speakers

I hope this is a simple problem.  I have one amp (Rotel 930 AX) which supports two sets of speakers.  The manual says if running two sets of speakers simultaneously they must have impedence of a minimum of 8 ohms.

The problem is the second set of speakers I inherited are in the ceiling - they are monitor audio and have impedence 6 ohms.

Will this damage the amp?

Is there a quick fix?

Is there an amp which will handle this for say £150?

Is it better to change the ceiling speakers?

Help with a Wireless Video Sender and receiver

I am looking to get a wireless video sender and receiver to send the sky signal to my TV which is located up stairs.

Firstly, is this possible and what are the best products in the market at the moment.

I do not mind spending a bit of cash but have seen so many I do not know what is good and bad.

I need something that does not get disrupted by Wifi and where I can use my sky remote without having to run downstairs to change the channel!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Rach

I am at war with my neighbours

I live in a small block of flats of six with four flats having a shared garden at the back, i live in the ground floor flat overlooking the garden, in 2008 the housing association had the fences done, a couple of years later my next door neighbour started putting trellis's up on the back fence which i objected to but was told by the h/a they had to stay, after that my neighbour started putting black anti-vandal paint on the fences including the fence outside where i live which i removed on several occasions by using some old clothing & washing up liquid.

Dilemma...

The past couple of months I've been decorating the little'uns bedroom and hallway. The ma-in-law has employed a decorator from Hungary to do her hallway. He's taken three weeks, which is ludicrous. She thinks she's saving money, when this could be done in 4-5 days. I know because my bro has been a decorator for 30 years.
