Are the Rolling Stones taking the Mick?
My wife and I bought some tickets for the forthcoming shows at the O2 today.
Tickets prices started at around £100 for god awful seats, then £250, £325, and finally £400.
I can not for life of me think any band is worth that kind of money, but we bought 4 with the hope of selling 2 of them for big profits to ease the financial burden.
Tickets don't go on sale to the general public until Friday, so I don't think they'll be many left by then. The cheapest ones had all gone before my wife managed to get some.
Anyway, back to my point, are the Stones taking the Mick? (pun intended).
My wife is the big fan, though I do like them as well (who doesn't?)
It will be good I'm sure, and it could be their last ever gigs, but I think they're just looking for a final massive pay day, and I do think they're exploiting their fans.
Yes and a bit more yes - they should have packed it in a long time ago and nowadays are just a sad parody of their former selves. Up to £400 to watch a crowd of old men limping around a stage, possibly in the far distance? You have got to be joking!
All that said, Keef is still a rock god.
Sorry if this has upset anybody
According to "the wright stuff" yesterday they said the tickets were going for £1000, so £400 seems a bit cheap to me, i won't be going so i'm not bothered at all.
Oy vey - 'ow much??!!
And speaking of Mick taking the Mick - checkout this toe-curling abomination

So you are complaining about the prices the Stones are charging but are quite happy to rip somone off by touting your 2 spare tickets which someone could have bought for £100 each.
No, we haven't made our minds up which ones we will be selling, we have 2 x £250 and 2 x £400, so extremely expensive. Everyone has had the same opportunity to buy tickets as us, we are not trying to make money, just claw back some of the cost.
Can't see anything wrong in that.

You would if they were Liverpool cup final tickets you'd missed out on.
Oh, no no no no no no.

But your OP stated that you intended to sell 2 of them for, "big profits"?
Buying to sell for profit takes opportunities away from real fans who cannot afford the inflated price.
On the couple of occasions I've had to sell tickets it's been at face value.
This is only going to end in tears

Dude, ticket touts are the scum of the earth, and you have just joined their ranks - you must feel very proud of yourself. Well done, enjoy the show. Hope it's c**p.
Friend of Mick's, or just an American Express lackey?
t's terrible people make money from selling tickets on the secondary market it should be made illegal.
How come it was illegal for the the olympics but for concerts it's deemed we like the secondary market ! . Makes my blood boil , If i can't make a concert or have a spare ticket I always sell at face value + the £2.50 or whatever the ticket sellers charge for card payment/postage. which in itself is outrageous.!!
I thought you were a regulal dude with common sense , No offence but you've just blown that out the water, and I bet the real BBB would be turning!!

Not sure I understand where you're coming from - initially you stated that you bought 4 tickets with the view to selling 2 on for a profit, then further down the thread you mention selling 2 to claw back some of the cost.....why buy 2 extra and then try to sell them to get back the cost??? Don't like the sound of this.

I would say yes! Should be good though if you like them - congrats!
