Apple Share Price - Ouch

Apple's share price plunged 10% yesterday after results were not as good as hoped, with a share price down to $460 compared to a high of $705 just 4 months ago.
This means that since September, Apples share price has lost 35%, or a loss in market cap of $240 billion - so its lost more than the entire market cap of Microsoft.

Seems odd that Apple turn over the highest earnings in a year in the history of the world ever, yet because some analysts guessed wrong a whole bunch of peoples pention funds take a beating (because thats what a lot of the biggest hedges in the US are, pention funds). What a squiffy system.
