I've been using them for a month now and haven't smoked, nor more importantly, wanted to smoke a real cigarette. They're much cheaper than real cigarettes too, i reckon i'm spending about 7 euros a week on the refill cartridges, having initially bought a starter pack that consists of two rechargable batteries (which look like the white part of a cigarette), a pack of 5 cartomisers (they look like the butt and contain the nicotene), and a usb charger.

If any of you guys are thinking about giving up the real ones then you should consider these as for me at least, they work a treat.

I've got 2 friends using these, only thing that's worked for them after many, many years. Seems to work because you get all the habit of playing with a pack and the 'cigarette' and even a lit tip and a little puff of smoke! Quite weird seeing them using them in a restaurant these days.

My Wife uses one and she is quite impressed.

She is certainly keen on the variety of flavours on offer.

Old habits die hard for sure. I haven't smoked for 9/10 years ish and still chew gum everyday, better than smoking though.

So what's the deal with these? Are they nicotine replacement products or do they simply simulate smoking with no nicotine hit?

They're nicotine vapourisers.  So not only do you get a nicotine hit, you also feel like you're inhaling something.  Closet thing to real cigarettes you can get.

Not quite close enough for me though Laughing out loud

I understand entirely, unfortunately there is no substitute... I also read a couple of mildly alarming articles about e cigarettes after posting, so I'm a little hesitant to given them a try.

Hi Strapped, as JD said they give you a nicotine hit and mimic smoking. I've found it so easy to stop smoking by using them, and you can smoke them in the pub, perfect Cool

Great product (I don't smoke) but  this legislation just makes me laugh. Noticed all the cig displays disappearing recently?(apologies if this is a repeat)

I didn’t need any gimmicks when I packed up, I just realised what a complete plonker I was smoking in the first place.

Just been to our local Morrisons and they now have sliding doors over the displays, although "TOBACCO KIOSK" is written over the top, plus extra NO ID ,NO SALE signs on the sliding doors .Health act designed to protect the young against potential tobacco abuse. Only allowed to temporarily display 0.75 m2 for sale purposes (ie open the cabinet)

Do you remember not so long ago ,supermarkets having to block alcohol aisles and cover the product on Sunday licensing hours. And now?

I'm an old man, and reserve the right to see history repeat its mistakes in legislation and then revoke them (as well as the right to  chuckle)

I hasten to add that I always respect the law,but I still  laugh at the those laws ill-thought through (rather than violently oppose them on the streets)Wink
