Not wishing to stir it or anything, but if Benitez had spent all the money Mourinho has, and lost 2 games in a row, and kept Mata on the bench, he'd have been called negative, and told to f**k off. So what's so special about about this guy then?
He wins titles.
I don't get it either though, Eto'o looks past it, no strikers on the bench? Mata their best player deemed not up to snuff!

What money? he's only brought in two players - one over the hill and a German who's yet to settle.
TBH Mourinho doesn't know what his best team is yet, why he keeps rotating. He's made mistakesbut most knew he wouldn't start this campaign like he did back in 2004. The squad isn't as good. But he'll sort it - just wish he'd drop the 'Happy one' tag and go back to the old Mourinho we all know and admire.
As regards Benitez: No, I don't think he's a Chelsea manager, but what gave me the pip was his derogatory remarks about Chelsea when he was Liverpool manager, although, TBF, Roman brought him in to plug the gap.
Abramovich is the one pulling the strings - has been since before Mourinho first left. Ballack, Shevchenko were not Mourinho's players. No doubt it was Roman's decision to buy Torres.
He wants a Barcelona style of play. It won't work with Chelsea. Never will. Chelsea's strength, like most English clubs is power and direct.

Lukaku - bet that was Roman's decision to loan him out.
Oh how I am laughing.
Keep it up Chelsea, I'll get some more popcorn
“Out beyond ideas of wrong and right, there is a field.
I'll meet you there."
Agreed. I bet Roman is wondering what he has done again.
Just don't get why they loan out their best striker and buy a dinosaur to replace him. There's something going on at the Bridge that isn't right. For all Romab's success over the past 10 years, eventually they'll run out of managers to choose from.
The players and managers say he knows about football, I beg to differ. If he did he should know - the exception being Barca and Real - that tippy-tappy football and success rarely goes hand-in-hand.
They were going to loan out Ba to Arsenal too! I think he has to go with Torres. I have watched Chelsea's last two matches and they have definitely been disappointing. I don't get it either, they have the money to buy anyone they want, I guess they just couldn't find anyone in time, come January you must definitely buy.
What have the scouts been doin'? Surely it's their job to pinpoint the ideal players for the manager, yet since May they've let at least four strikers slip thru their fingers. Really do believe Romab is choosing the players. That's just a gut feeling mixed with a smidgeon of whispers coming from the SW London region.
He definitely gets a big say in it, or has in the past. Not sure where Jose stands in it now. I think if Roman was picking the team surely Mata and probably Torres would play. So perhaps Roman buys the players and Jose picks the team? The scouts are probably all yes men, fingers crossed you are still in contention for all competitions come January.
He think Jose wanted Rooney to be his striker this season but that was probably unrealistic to be honest.

Unlike Arsenal who've spent 42 million on one player, City spent over 100 million, Spurs not far behind.
Still convinced he'll turn it around. The squad is too strong and Jose too good not to. It's about finding that balance.
Too many midfielders, and Jose would prefer to defend first and attack second.
Chelsea net spend just over £60 million, Arsenal net spend just over £32 million, Spurs net spend minus £3 million, City net spend just less than £87 million, and before you ask, Liverpool net spend is just over £15 million.
Chelsea net spend over last 3 seasons (excluding compo for sacked managers etc) £195 million.
Man City net spend over last 3 seasons is £145 million
