I am taking a trip to Toronto in October and am hoping to purchase the new Apple iMac. I have checked the specs on both the UK Apple site and the Canadian version. Both say that the computer will accept 100v-240v line voltage, but does anybody know if I will have to change just the plug, or the entire charging block.

Probably a switched-mode power supply, so just a change of mains cable should do it. Or if it's a captive cable, just buy a UK plug adapter at the airport on the way back!

PS Don't make the American/Canadian mistake when in Toronto - neither side seems to appreciate it much!

The new iMac's available worldwide - why go to Canada for it? I waited 6 months to upgrade my 3 y/o Powerbook G4 but the glossy screen has written it off for me. Hopefully by the time Leopard is released they'll offer a non-gloss version or its back to the drawing board for me.
