Advice needed please.
This afternoon I've been to assess a small coffee and tea shop, with a view to buying it. If my brother helps me to finance the tea room, he pledged to do this if the right business came along, and as long as the books read well in terms of turnover/profit, I maybe interested.
The shop has been going for about 50 years - different owners, about 3-4 - and is an Old-world snug, with WWII posters on the wall. It's like stepping back 60 years, plus it has a small dining area downstairs.
On a good day it caters for around 100 covers and on a bad'en around 20-30, so I've got to let a legal-eagle look over the finer details.
Any views or advice welcome.
NB: Ah, forgot to mention, not sure if I have on other threads, I'm actually a qualified cook/chef with an NVQ. Saying that, I haven't worked in the catering industry for a few years, even though I have managerial experience.
