Has anyone used this kind of thing when buying a car? I think it's £99 and they check the car so you know you're not buying a heap that'll fall apart straight away.

I know very little about cars but am not sure how much these guys can really check with out getting the car in a garage.

My cars a little poorly so it looks time to retire it and replace but after my girlfriend having trouble with a car bought from a big dealer I'm not inclined to trust reputations and promises as well as my own judgement.

I have never used the service, but I am surprised no one else has. It seems like a good idea.

Which reviewed AA,RAC,auteco and usedcarchecks with 2 cars each. Unfortunately none of they came out very well, only 1 got all 6 faults. You might be better off taking the car to a garage you trust.
