A deck is born, or, Why I can't afford new speakers in the near future.
Before.... (Technically should say "during", but haven't got any proper before pics).

After....

It's just a shame the rest of the garden is still a tip.

Is that where the audience sits?

That takes me back to our old house - we had a very similar garden - long and thin and the decked area was something like 5m x 5.5m. It made a massive difference to our entertaining - great BBQs!
That's what we're hoping for. Great BBQs!
The garden opens up behind the garage (the brick wall on the left is the garage)
Probably runs another 20' or so to the back fence, but we've got loads of tat we want rid of. A rockery and pond, rickety shed, overgrown beds. Gonna take it all right back, fill the pond, remove the rockery, smaller beds then some decent turf. Not sure when this will be though.
I thought you'd bought a Technics...
Almost did. What tipped it in favour of the timber was the realization that balancing a BBQ, table, chairs and a handful of people on a 12" platter might prove tricky.

You might if you weren't such a big lad...

Surely you had a bit of timber left over? Few drive units, couple of bits of wire, how hard can it be?
