360 HD DVD Drive - £20

A quick question; I know the hd dvd drive for the 360 got a bit of a panning when it was reviewed in the mag, but is it worth a punt at £20? I've seen a few hd dvd's on sale for under a fiver that I quite fancy, so basically for 40 quid I could have the drive and 4 movies. Is the drive itself so bad? At the moment I've got a dvd recorder that upscales quite nicely (the Sony RDR GX350), would it potentially have a similar quality on my TV (Toshiba 32WLT66)? Thanks in advance

I had one, and the picture is good, but the sound performance was terrible, just couldnt get it loud enough, even trhough an amp, the 360's fan noise doesnt help either.
I wouldnt buy another one if it were free! and came with a free gold plated biro.
i was wondering the same thing. £300 is too much to spend just to see if it looks good on my screen, but £40 is ok.
although i jus found out my mate bought a ps3 so i need to bug him to bring it over and play something.
