The silent film looks the best of a drab lot. Anyone seen it?

First time in a very long time Pixar didn't get a nomination.  Not surprising really. Cars 2 wasn't as awful as made out to be, but didn't feel like a Pixar movie.

Pixar seem to be slotting in to a sequel/original pattern, we have Brave this year and Monsters Inc 2 the year after.  Was Up the year before, and Toy Story 3 the year before that.  Wonder what they are going to sequel in 2015?

Not sure if The Incredibles would shift enough merch?  That was why Cars 2 came to be, aparently including toy sales the franchise has out sold Toy Story.  Happy for them to sell their souls every other year to pay for the good years Smile

I thought both Hugo and The Artist were brilliant. The Artist to be a deserving winner (film, director and actor), Hugo to go down as a classic family film within 5-10 years.

Anyone see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close? That passed me by, which is a shame if it had a good Von Sydow performance.

It wasn't released until Xmas in the US, and doesn't get its UK release until next month - 17th Feb, according to IMDB.
