2 weeks in. Any broken resolutions?
Still sticking to mine to tackle the ever expanding waistline. Not dieting as such, but I've completely cut out: chocolate, sweets, ice cream, cakes, etc, etc. and trying to cut down my meal portion sizes...... It's gonna be a long road, but so far, so good.
Well done! This time next year think you'll be 'Not So Big Chris'.
I've back at the gym at 5.30am every weekday morning and my strict healthy diet. I had done it previously for 12 months but work commitments got in the way. Its funny because the New Year Resolutioners at my gym have already started dropping like flies. Its getting back to the same regulars who have been going since I joined in 2006.
My other resolutions were to save more and spend less. I've been avoid going on Hot Deals UK as I always end up buying things I didn't need because they were a bargain. The other thing I promised I wouldn't do is keep the boxes for nearly everything I buy. This should be helped by my new found austerity. I'm being ruthless and cleanring out the loft of all the boxes which are pointless to keep.
I gave up alcohol in 2006 funnily enough when I joined my gym. I haven't touched a drop since. Easiest thing I ever did - was never really much of a drinker.
My new years resolution was to stop wasting so much of my valuable spare time in hifi forums and do something more constructive like watching TV.
I failed miserably on the first day of January and I'm still spending as much time as ever on these forums.

+1
I also said to myself that i would be more content with my speakers....'bout to pull the trigger on some kef R range

I've not had a drop of alcohol in 2013. There was a 1/4 bottle of white wine in a Spanish fish stew on Saturday, but cooked booze doesn't count. I'm quite proud of myself. I'm not a big drinker, but I will have a small amount of alcohol (i.e. one bottle of beer or a cheeky single malt scotch) most evenings. At the weekends, I'd normally drink 1/2 bottle of wine on a night. Now nuffink. Have slept better and felt much happier getting up with the boy (he rises at 6:30!).
I've only resolved to do this for January, but I think it will herald the start of a more considered approach to booze.
I have some home cinema and Sonos stuff.
