10th Anniversary on Friday. Gift ideas needed
Any 'Tin' related ideas out there? Nothing that's gonna break the bank, just a token. Let's say £100 absolute max with £50 being preferable.
Best thing about this anniversary is that you can get whatever you like and...put it in a tin
Both very good suggestions. Was thinking of making the Tin thing a bit more intrinsic than just putting something in a tin, but it's still a valid idea.
It can be a nice tin
Mrs JD would go "EDITED hell a TIN!!! BRILLIANT!!!"
Nothing for £50 (or even £100), but you might give these chaps a call after looking at the website...
(click on 'products' for a read then 'shop online' for the range and prices.)
..the two brothers run a working tin stream in St Agnes, Cornwall and refine and smelt the tin themselves as part of a small tin mining/ working museum set-up.
So you know the tin will be Cornish and the objects made locally. There are some Celtic themed pendants/brooches etc. if she is into that. (Some larger obects too.)
The prices look like they would (mostly) leave you the majority of your budget for other (non tin related) gifts.
For our aniversary, last month, got a stick family car sticker. My better half saw them in the USA and commented on them and they are now available in the UK. They are customised car stickers where you can customise each person and pets etc.. in the family. The basic white IMO is the best design,. Cost around £25.00 for a family of 5 with one pet.
Pewter is 90%+ Tin, that may widen the field a little? Or is that cheating?
Why not look on "t'in-ternet"??

£7.45, and then you can spend many a happy evening practicing your tinning together.
ended up with getting a nice bottle of Nicolas Feulleiratte Champers, which came in a tin, plus a bottle of Triple Sec to cater to her Margarita fixation..

Well done, and congratulations
A tin hat if you get it wrong.
