can I use Itunes with any Streamer?

Hello, 

I forgot my apple TV in a hotel room abroad and as it is going to cost me nearly as much to ship it back as to buy a new one I thought I might as well get the Apple TV 2. alhtough being a fan of Apple products they are quite restrictive so I thought I would come on here to find out if they are any other streamers I could use to stream all of my itunes content, that is both Music and video. or can only the Apple TV stream music, movies and TV episodes from itunes?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
