Advice needed - Starter for 10
Hi,
I'm looking for a new Hifi. Currently have old Technics seperates system (which is very good) but doesn't give the modern day flexibility plus it's basically a single CD (Ipod is more flexible), Dual Cassette (obselete), AM/FM tuner (would like DAB) all coupled with good amp and good speakers.
Am just importing all CD's and music to iTunes/Digital media with the goal of having one music library that I can maintain and backup. I have ipods, ipad so I want to be able to be lazy, sit in the armchair, select music from ipod/ipad and play through hifi system.
The other criteria is I must have a DAB tuner rather than a sole internet radio option. I don't want to listen to DAB through internet as that's using internet download for something that I could get "free" through the airwaves.
Any good solutions/setup advice. Happy to keep existing amp and speakers and upgrade seperates if theres a good solution or alternatively exchange the lot.
Thanks
Mark
Depends on your budget of course.
TEAC CR-H700DAB mini-system has DAB and Airplay at around £500.

How about MArantz 603, it is all in one system which is only £350 at moment, you need to buy speakers as well, has DAB, cd, amp etc.
