Which is best for sound quality i-pod touch 64GB or the sony NWZ-A867 ?

I'm looking out for a new mp3 player and i've narrowed it down to these two. I have at the moment a Rio Carbon which has been very good and i think if i remember 'what hi-fi' gave it five stars in it's day, but it has limited storage compared to these two. Also i'm sure the i-pod has solid state memory instead of hdd which i like but i'm not sure about the sony, any comments appreciated....thanks.
