Tracks Deleting From iTunes?

Having spent most of the day retagging songs stored on my NAS in my iTunes library with mp3tag so that when played with DS Audio you can see the artwork, I now find that after retagging tracks, if played in iTunes they disappear after they are played.
A quick search in iTunes and they are nowhere to be found?
