Sony a865 vs ipod classic
Sat, Dec 3 2011, 7:28PM
afternoon gents
im new to the forum but hoped i may be as bold as to ask a question.
im looking at the sony a865 mp3 player but my brother has offered me a latest gen ipod classic for the same money
My question is if you take capacity and headphones out of the equation which has the better sq?
i listen to trance/dance aswell as rock/metal so cover quite a large spectrum.
ive always believed sony to have the better sq but i thought id ask those in the know
cheers for any advice
Andy

I agree. Sony's SQ is superior to that of an iPod. You can improve iPod's sound quality by going for better earphones.
