Onkyo ND-S1 using library from External Drive

Hi apologies if this has been discussed before. I want to know if i can access and play a library on an external drive through the USB port on the Onkyo ND-S1? If so is it controlled by the ipod? Amp is a 606 via optical. Any advice appreciated...

If your iPod Touch is new enough for iOS4.3 you could try Home Sharing where the iPod can access your iTunes library over wifi. Would make a very neat and tidy system.

Thanks for the info. It seems that it will have to go back as i wanted to play through Zone 2 as well as the main speakers. Apparently Zone 2 will only play analogue inputs. Is there a way around this?

No, it's purely for connecting the USB output from a computer.
