Hi

Would like to use the re encode when syncing option as the ALAC files are killing my iphone battery, but ideally would like to re encode to 320, not 128 as seems to be the only option? Anyone know if this setting can be altered - hopefully I'm missing something obvious!

Dont really want to have to make a separate MP3 library either, but I'm guessing that may be the answer.

As far as I know, unless they've changed it recently, this option isn't changeable.  If you are using your iPhone to listen to music while out and about only then 128K will probably be fine, with the added benefit of being able to fit 3 times as many albums on it.

You would have to highlight all your tracks and create AAC versions at 320K and then use 2 smart playlists to manage your library and sync to the iPhone if you did require 320K files.
