A bit late to the party but I have been using a Colorfly C4 Pro (probably equivalent to the cheaper AK100) for 2 years or so and they are extremely good.

Working away from home and appreciating good sounds I find these devices invaluable, especially when portability and packability is to be considered. I used to carry around a Walkman Professional cassette deck in the past.

These are great away when listening through some decent headphones and even better at home plugged straight into my preamp.

Having said that the C4 has enough output to go straight to a power amp if required. Like the AK100 it only has one high quality DAC unlike the AK120 that uses one per channel.

In my situation I feel the sound quality available through these devices more than justifies the outlay but can see why others of the mobile phone / ipod brigade might not. Smile
