Anyone got their iPad 2 yet?

Ordered at silly-o-clock when Apple started taking online orders here in UK (March 25th) and the latest shipping (not delivery) date I have is 15th April.
Very disappointed 
A friend has just phoned the Apple Covent Garden store to check availability - they have promised shipment tomorrow if you order tonight !! 
yep, picked mine up in regent street after work, on the day it was launched.
Well Mrs JD has shown an interest, which means we'll have one soon enough...
Apple Store online still showing 2-3 week wait for all models
Had to order online, as it's being engraved as a present. 
Oh well, i'll continue to be patient (drums fingers, grits teeth...)
Wouldn't it be better to engrave something less ephemeral? (Like a wrist-watch.)
In a year's time - when iPad 3 is launched - the engraving will only reduce the amount one could sell it for.
Even if the recipient never sells it, it will become unusable when the battery degrades (or Apple eventually remove support for that version).
Still trying to convince myself that I really, really need one. Then again, maybe someone will buy me one for my birthday in May!

Well the recipient is me, and the iPad 2 is a generous gift from him-indoors, whom wants to engrave something he knows i'll enjoy everyday.
As indeed he did with the iPod Touch that i'm still using three years on.

If you don't want it engraved, you can reserve one on Apple website at 9:00 pm for collection the next at one of the Apple stores. They have limited number though so you have to be quick. Reserved mine last night and picked it up lunch time today.
That makes me think, my 1st Gen iPod Touch might fetch a handsome sum from those in the academia...

Oooh, update: probably just a co-incidence, but a day after I grumble EVERYWHERE about Apple's shocking service, suddenly I find out my iPad 2 has been sent. It's on its way from Holland, so here's hoping Customs don't hold it up...
