Adding to I-Phone playlists

I create a folder on my Desktop which has tracks I want to put in one of my I-Phone 4S Playlist I select either Add File to Library or Add Folder to Library in I-Tunes from the Desktop folder I would then expect but can't find these tracks in Recently Added in I-Tunes Library On one of my PC's I seem to have lost Recently Added in my Library ???
