Zeppelin or ipod Doc to amp

Hi there im a bit of a noobie when it comes to sound.

 I was wondering whether my £400 would best be spent on a zeppelin dock or an ipod doc to amp speaker setup.  

Obv what attracts me to the zeppelin is the sound and the convenience of being able to move it from one room to another depending, but i wondered if the sound from a hifi setup would outweigh the zeppelin enough to make it the better purchase.

 Any opinions would be really appreciated!!
