Yamaha PDX-50 or Zeppelin Mini?!
Looking to get a dock for Christmas and following the awards issue was quite impressed by the Yamaha. However shortly after the Zeppelin Mini arrived and after a short wait for it to be featured on here it I read what turned out to be a very favourable review! This puts me in a bit of a dilemma now - the Yamaha won the best in category for docks up to £300 but at the time the Mini wasn't around. Now that it is, would it be likely to rate higher than the the Yamaha, or would the current title holder remain in position?!
I have a maximum budget of £300. I know that the Yamaha can currently be found below £150 already, given at the time of the review it was closer to £200, but the Mini seems to be sticking to it's £299 price tag wherever you look. I'd dearly love a full-size Zeppelin but unfortunately space (and sadly budget!) don't really work in my favour for that, but if the Mini is a worthy alternative then I'd be interested to hear what people think, or indeed if there are any alternatives around this price range at the moment?
For info, it's going into a large'ish kitchen (some comments about the "bread-bin" appearance of the Mini were amusing!) and will play from both iPod Classics and an iPhone.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
