If you mean iPod dock with integrated DAC no, but if you want the very best from your iPod you can invest in a digital dock like Onkyo's, connect it to a DAC, and connect the DAC to your amp.

Re: IPod With Integrated DAC

To use a better DAC than the one built into an iPod, first of all you'll need a dock that get digital signals from the iPod. Onkyo and Wadia makes such docks. Both will give you the same sound quality (= unaltered digital signals), though Wadia does this at twice the price and is thus considered the better choice by some.

Then you'll need a DAC that's better than the one in the iPod; either a separate one or one built into an amplifier or receiver.

Most DACs will probably be an upgrade to the built-in iPod one, on paper that is. In real life, whether you'll hear the difference or not will very much depend on the material you're playing. If you use low bitrate MP3s, chances are you'll hear no difference at all. With Apple Lossless and CD quality files, the costs of a digital dock and a DAC might be worth it though.
