Cheap MP3 player

I'm looking for a cheap MP3 player for my 14-year-old son, something that sounds reasonably good but not as expensive as an iPod as he's bound to lose it or break it! Anyone got any suggestions? I've seen some very cheap Technika ones in Tesco, but don't know if they're any good or not.

Or you could try a Creative Zen V as you can get a one GB version for just over £40 in some places. It also has a lot of features including pictures. I belive it got a five star review as well.

We tested a whole batch of Technika MP3 players in the last Ultimate Guide to MP3, and the best ones were the Technika MP-306 and MP-406 (£50 each). We awarded them both 4 stars. Avoid the cheaper Technika models as they got three stars.
