Are MP3 players only Windows compatible?

Looking for an reasonably priced (sub £75) MP3 player for my daughter. Checking out some at Argos and there only Vista and XP compatible. As i'm running an Mac am i limited to Ipod's etc or are there any other brands i could bye? Cheers.

Basically any mp3 player that will show up as a generic USB device in the Mac's Finder will play nice with a Mac. Of course you can't use iTunes with such a device and you will have to use the Finder to manage files on the mp3 player.

an Apple ipod feels like an obvious choice.
;P

£60 should buy you a shuffle, though without a screen I've always been put off. Neat package design though and no doubt works well - since its designed to be used.

Secondhand 3rd Gen Nano would be fine - £60 should get you an 8Gb version in near mint nick.
