ok here goes i got given a rusty old e30 bmw as a wedding present swapped the brand new carburettor [the only decent thing on thr car] for a 2nd hand sony KP-41S3U rear projection tv [had this for about 2 yrs] had an accident with my weights insurance company offered me an £800 sony lcd tv said iwasn't happy with replacement sd on my tv ws much better blah blah motion handling and screen was an inch smallerblah blah they then offered me £620 cash as they had a discount with comet ....so... i dont get a discount complained and complained until there complaints manager phoned me and offered me £800 the same price as the tv they offered me babbled with a load of jargon and politely argued my point for half an hour he then offered me £900 and said that was as high as he would go and then he waived the excess to as the claim took other a 3 weeks to sort out and even though my stand wasnt insured they gave me £200 towards a new one due to the old one being a cab stand designed only for that tv and now deemed useless.[they say its not insured but if u push they will give in] pricematch th42pz85 at jlewis for 1055 a years contents insurance 120...... getting a full 08 pana plasma for a rear projection tv from norwich union ......priceless so if any of you guys end up in the same situation it is very stressfull but keep at them and it will pay dividends just remember the more they mess you around the more ammo you have to mess them around
