I would be tempted if Paramount have finally sorted out the useless sound on the first three movies as all previous releases have had bog standard Dolby Digital which has stopped me diving in despite my love of 1 & 3 (the less said about MI 2 the better), does anyone know what sound formats are on the first 3 movies?
I own the steelbook edition of MI 4 already which carries a DTS HD Master Audio soundtrack so if the others carried a HD soundtrack then i would snap up the boxset for £18.
Samsung UE55F8000 (THX Pro calibrated), Yamaha RX-A2020, Dali Zensor 5 7.1 (front presence config), Panasonic DMP-BDT500MR, WD TV Live, Marantz CD6003, Marantz PM6004, Beresford TC-7220 MKII, PS3, Xbox 360, QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable, Wireworld Chroma 7 HDMIs, Chord Crimson Sub and RCA, Chord Superscreen Mains Cable
Not sure about the audio on this boxset. If you already have MI 4, check this for HD audio:

Thanks for the heads up bigboss i wasn't aware there was a trilogy version out there with HD audio on it, thanks very much! The second link is in german and seems to be the only one that has any stock...my german is patchy since leaving school despite me passing my exams so i will have to translate the page but i will definately be going down this route if the new set still persists with plain old Dolby Digital.
It seems even stranger now that Paramount keep short changing customers in the UK if there are already versions of the first three movies out there with DTS HD sound...good excuse to double dip though i suppose lol
