Do you think it could it be because I've only got an iPad 1 using ios5?.
Tried a reset, no effect

No, I can't download it on my first generation iPad, with ios 5.0. Get "not currently available in the uk store" 
OK so, finally, tried to download to PC and got "network error" messages after about 30% download. Repeated and same result.
Tried with iPod Touch and got "you have already downloaded this item, to download again go to "your downloaded items""
it wasn't there, surprise surprise
Tried to access it on the Cloud with the iPad and FINALLY I've managed to get a copy.
Hope it will turn out to have been worth it

Update: Had one last go at downloading the Toons cartoon bundle last night (11.38pm) and it finally started downloading! Not sure if it completed - forgot to check this morning (doh!)
Hold tight, there is a couple of hundred meg of the XX toda.........sorry, I fell asleep.
