RE: HMV Blue Cross sale starts Saturday 12th Jan

Yep, I picked LOTR trilogy up for a tenner at sainsburys too.  They had Promethius for £10 as well, but I gave it a miss.

Having seen the news on HMV tonight, I would only buy instore, it saves any potential issues!

Sadly it is looking like its going to be one less option, I can't put "competitor", as many have said, they have not been competitive for a good while!

Just remembered I've pre-ordered Game of Thrones season 1&2 on blu-ray for £45. Hmmmm. On Amex so will have to do a chargeback.

Interesting ads you have appearing (for me at least) at the bottom of that story. 'How to declare bankruptcy', 'Insolvency practitioner' and 'Pre-pack administration'.  :O

HMV in-stor & online

I was given a voucher card as Xmas present. No doubt this won't be valid now.

When I went into the Kingston branch just a few weeks ago, they had two aisles of cut price CDs and DVDs. I purchased Led Zepp II (Remastered) and double album from Chic for just a tenner. Pretty good value. Can't vouch for their other stores but these cut price jobbies were at the front.

Wonder if the Blue Cross Sale extends to their shops too. Knightsbridge at 25% offer sounds good. I must remember to put the code in at the checkout though.

Same price as Amazon (If you mean the Magnifique double CD) and you get £1 mp3 credit too. This is not part of any promotion. I would happily have bought from HMV online if they were competitive, but generally they wern't.
