For those of you (like me) who like getting anything extra they can back from their vast amount of home entertainment shopping, it's worth knowing that you can get points on your Nectar reward card (www.nectar.com) from a wide range of electronics and DVD/CD retailers.

You can collect Nectar points at Amazon and Argos via CD Wow, Comet, LoveFilm, Play.com... and Sky. Even the Apple Store (including iTunes downloads) is involved - and there's double points up for grabs at the moment, if you're planning an iPod purchase.

And then of course you can spend your points on all sort of stuff - including straight money-off deals at Sainsburys and Argos.

Drawbacks? It's a far stingier rewards system than some, but hey, I like the idea of my disc-buying habit subsidising something....
