Yamaha YSP 2200 Soundbar

Hi

I posted an earlier post re setting up this soundbar and due to the replies have set it up ok.

Just one thing I am not sure about, The soundbar is connected to my Virgin HD+ box via HDMI cable, on the front of the soundbar is a indicator which lights up when a surround type signal is being played. When I play dvd's the indicator lights up, however it has never lit up when playing any of the Virgin channels including any of the HD ones, is this normal, or should I be receiving these other sound signals
