I see many mobile users rejoicing at their new-found posting abilities I find it frustrating the forum width still doesn't scale for use on larger screens to avoid excessive scrolling. Now sub-forums are shown on the main forum list rather than hidden away it has become more important this is considered.I for one view at 1600x1200 and cannot see the full forum list - which seems odd. I'd hate to think how it appears on wide-screen users screens.
Otherwise first impressions are generally favourable. I like the increased options for posting and that the comment windows loads much faster without the tell-tale HTML code becoming visible.
Oh and can you change the UPDATED to something other than RED? Each forum at the minute is blinding me!

Simply because we didn't know it was going to happen until it happened.
And I'm on a similarly large screen here in the office, and I'm not having any scrolling problems.

Because then I'd have had to warn you that the forum was changing, which from experience I didn't want to do. If you ask real nice I might be able to rescue it from the old database...

I think what you have now meets the requirements perfectly.

John I greatly appreciate your offer but I'm sure you've enough to worry about! It's a minor gripe. You're right about the warning - I get the same user-related dilemmas each day - it just rare to be on the receiving end! lol
Andrew it's not scrolling problems as such - things go and down just as they always have. However the forum width is still limited and does not rescale to full-wdith. This means the forum descriptions rollover onto a new line when on a big screen one is more than enough.
Example: The last line I can see at the moment would be "digital radio, and discover the best kit. And let's not forget there's life in" from the "Digital and analogue radio" forum. If the forum width adapted it would save 7 lines of large text so I might be able to see to the bottom of the "Computer-based music" forum. If you go into one of the forums the extra width would make a much greater impact as the text is considerably smaller.
Ok maybe I'm being a little churlish. The size of the font does mean everything is easier to read than your typical forum front page. It just seems a real waste of screen real-estate not using the full width.
Just checking to see if my sig is back.....
EDIT and it is.
Internet - laptop - DAC - amp - lots of headphones.

I seem to have a problem when trying to enter the Sonos competition, insofar as the question comes up but there are no multiple choice answers or any place to post an answer.
Type it in again I'm afraid.
No signature worth mentioning...
If I click on my old mate the_lhc I get access denied. There is no where for me put a list of all my kit. What has happened to the bio bit?
