Thought I'd try bi-amping today
Bi-amping my denon 2310 today with 684's with speaker cable from rear speakers and I have to say it made quite an improvement. 3ven the girlfriend noticed better seperation of instruments ectc. i mostly noticed the percussion seemed clearer. Interested to see if alot of people have done this and what differences the have noticed?
Thanks. I now need to go out and purchase extra speaker cable. The only thing is chord carnival silver screen is big and ugly and will be harder to diguise to runs of it, but totally worth it.

Might be worth checking a well-known auction site for some Chord Carnival Silver Screen Bi-wire, in a day or two...

When I bi-wired my 683's using QED silver anniversary it made a MASSIVE difference to the sound, seperation being the most noticeable. I've upgrade to chord Odyssey but haven't yet bi-wired due to lack of funds and needing 3m either side.
I honesty can't believe some ppl don't hear the difference or say bi-wiring isn't worth the extra £££.
I can't wait to get my setup bi-wired again although chord odyssey cable isn't exactly gunna be easy to hide.

Just looked up the Odessey and it's quite expesive. How much of an improvement would you say you had over QED anniversary?

If I may...from the same change of cables I found:
Slightly better imaging
Slightly stronger bass
Slightly more body to the midrange
Slightly less harsh treble
So in summary, a bit warmer and better. It's worth doing, but after you're satisfied with your other components first.
Last thing i need is stronger base at the moment. and not that happy with componets as i am using an s370 and already loving the sound. can't wait to upgrade. currently thinking about the audiolab8200CDQ and power amp either 2 mono or just one 8200P power amps. so will stick with the carnival biwire for now maybe upgrade to the audessy later on.
Another thing is the percussion seems really clear now i have bi-amped but cant help feeling the guitar parts and vocals could do with a bit more uuumph?
Just went online after Bi-amping my system today as well, buying more Rumour 2 speaker wire, and I also have to say the difference is immense!! Worth every penny!
Bi-amped my Onkyo with my KEF Q500s
awesome!
Ben
Sounds nice.... i think evryone should do it if they haven't already. im suffereing without my surrounds at the moment just so i can keep the benefits of bi-amping. I don't think i will ever go back.

Yep, bi-amped an Arcam A38 and P38 and it made a heeeooooooge difference all-round, especially, as you mention, re separation
Welcome to the, er, 'bi club'
