Wed, Aug 29 2012, 1:16AM
Hi,
being looking for a speakers system that i can get the boss to sign off on for both price and looks. The following two are both on sale here in NZ.
Wharfedale DX-1 - $590 (NZD)
KEF KHT-2005.3 - $870 (NZD)
Some guidance on which would be best suited for my lounge which is 4m wide and 3m deep and 3.3m high and my reciever which is an onkyo 609
Thanks in Advance

It's David
Generally, I'd recommend speakers more like the Diamonds if music is important.

The Wharfedale's strong point will more than likely be it's sub, although for the price, it's an excellent little package, and will be the better for music. The KEF satellites will be better for movies, with more precise effects placement and more coherent soundfield. Both should sound excellent on the end of a 609.
