Hi,

Having dropped an LCD TV on my surround sound and smashed it (Surround sound not TV suprisingly) I have decided to replace it with a multi media PC (Evesham Technologies eBox) so I can do multi media.

I like to watch DVD using an epson projector and have enjoyed 5.1 sound. I love my music and havent enjoyed listening to it via the said box. So. I have a cunning plan - get a decent audio reciever (Cambridge Audio Azur 340R 5.1 HDMI AV Receiver) and decent speakers (Keff 3005SE or Tannoy Arena) to be able to have my cake and eat it  e.g. decent home theatre AND music.

My chief concern is the sound quality The said receiver has good reviews but is there any point in attaching either the Keff 3005 or Tannoy - is it worth spending so much on the speakers and not on the reciever?

I guess I have to deal with another problem and that is the music coming through the PC soundcard.

Anyway, grateful you have any advice on music quality played through such a set up

regards

R
