Recommendations for a Home Cinema system and Music system

I am looking to buy a home cinema system and music system for my house. We have the following rooms:

Living room 6m square with a high ceiling up to 5m at top of pitch

Dining room/kitchen 4 x 6 m and again high ceilings

two bedrooms 3 x 4 m with 2 m ceilings
The aim is to have a home cinema in the living room and music in all the rooms. Quite like the idea of small discreet speakers.
Existing equipment not much really except DVD player, VHS/DVD player and a BOSE Wave radio CD player in one bedroom. The current Sony 32" TV and 5.1 system is now 9 years old and rather clunky and huge! So the plan is for this to go and to repalce it with a wall mounted TV.
Budget £1,500 but could stretch to £2,000 for the first purchase and then add it other bits later on to build up the whole system.
Current idea is to get a Samsung UE46D6100 46” LED TV and a BOSE Lifestyle 38 III with VS2 connector for now and add in the other parts later such as remote music speakers. Living close to a factory outlet I can get this system for the £2000.
But is there another way of creating this set up?
