Receiver/Speaker bundle suggestions

Looking for a speaker/receiver bundle for up to £600. I currently have a Panasonic SC-BTT590 which has given up the ghost. I've been looking at the Tannoy HTS101 with the Yamaha RX-V375 and using my PS3 again for playing duties.

Does this sound like a good idea, or would dropping the money for the Sony N7100W be a better idea?

Any other suggestions welcome.

RE: Receiver/Speaker bundle suggestions

Personally I would go for a bundle option as it would be easier in the future to upgrade (if you want to) or replace (if you have to)  individual items.

RE: Receiver/Speaker bundle suggestions

Hy everybody. Still looking at buying a av receiver and still looking at what to do and how. In a few months i'm buying a new tv, so after that my main objective is to buy a receiver thats suits. So Yamaha is still in the game, looking also at Pioneer or Denon. But thats second and third options.

So here the deal. I have three Yamaha receivers in mind:

I'm from Croatia so here are prices like:

Yamaha RX-V375  ( 214 pounds or in euros 260)

Yamaha RX-V475  ( 320 pounds , 390 euro)

or

Yamaha HTR-4065 (257 pounds, 313 euro)----(I think this is a bit of better option, after looking at what kind of kit its built in and price)

Whats you're opinion about this three. First thing that is important that I will use an receiver for watching movies and listening to music, then even for play station. I'm looking for a allround receiver.

And on this also has to go good speakers. So I dont know how to begin. Could I buy at first two front speakers, then afterwords buy a central speaker with an subwoofer. Or buy an complet spekeaker 5.1.  If I go with the first option, I saw this speakers  Boston Acoustics A 25 which are around 128 pounds. How do you rate them to be like? Has somebody heard them how they sound?

Or second option  Yamaha NS-PA40 5.1 for 290 pounds. I can't find any reviews about this system. I'll be thankfull if somebody can say more about them.

Sorry for my bad english, its a bit rusty. Smile

I believe the HTR 4065 is the older version of the RX 475. If your budget is tight, then if the 4065 gives you what you want - it will save you a few euros towards speakers.

What speakers are available to you around the £200 - £300 a pair? Personally I would look at getting a decent set of front speakers and then slowly build a 5.1 system.

RE: Receiver/Speaker bundle suggestions

As I saw HRT-4065 has mother than other receivers options. It has Airplay, 4K pass, i think it has wi-fi, 3d pass... For that money a great deal.

About speakers. I'm looking at a bit stylish sort of speakers. My living room has a modern type of furniture. So this are the speakers that i'm looking at:

This site is a bit price for about 10 pounds from others. but you will get the point.

Boston Acoustics A 23

Yamaha NS-B210 (95 pounds)

http://www.ronis.hr/yamaha/518/zvucnici-yamaha-ns-b210-piano-black/NS_B210_black/

Onyko  SKS-22  (150 pounds)

http://www.ronis.hr/onkyo/479/zvucnici-za-kucno-kino-onkyo-sks-22/SKS-22/

Denon SC-M39 ( 96 punds)

http://www.ronis.hr/denon/615/zvucnici-denon-sc-m39/SC-M39/

Jamo S602 (110 pounds)

http://www.ronis.hr/jamo/451/zvucnici-jamo-s602-dark-apple/s602darkapple/

I'm looking to be around 90 to 180 punds for two front speakers. In this option if I go for building a home theater.

What are you're opinions?

Can you demo any of these speakers with the intended AVR? That's the best option really to be sure.

It's going to be hard to say, unless someone else here has exactly the same combination.
